what is RockHouse?

RockHouse Student Ministries is for grades 7-12. We exist to help teens experience a relationship with Jesus Christ. There are many different ways we accomplish this, but we use mainly two: through weekly gatherings and events.

7th Grade Fancy Dinner

July 10, 6-7:30pm

It's time for you to move up to youth ministry, and we're extremely excited for you to join us. So excited, in fact, that we're going to have a special dinner for you! And it's going to be fancy! So come in your Sunday Best. Girls if you want to wear a long flowing dress, that's encouraged. Gentlemen, if you want to wear a suit and tie... that's encouraged! The youth pastor will be wearing a suit!

This is a free event for students heading into 7th grade, and their families (parents and siblings). Fancy Dinner consists of dressing up, a free dinner, getting to know the youth pastor better, and a panel of students to answer questions about what its like to be in youth ministry. We may have a game or two to play!

Location: EatonCOB, Room 101

Rockhouse mission trip 2019

west virginia

Salem is a small college town of about 2,000 people. There are no traffic lights, and driving through main street (downtown) there are not even stop signs. Though the town is small in size, the hearts of the people there are ready to know Christ!

We will be teaming up with a church to help them accomplish a VBS, and launch their youth ministry.

Mornings & Afternoons

In the mornings we will be doing some service projects to help the city and different people within the city.

Some students will be involved in helping with tasks and jobs in the Vacation Bible School during the week, while other students will be involved in helping re-launch this church's youth ministry.

Cost: $75*

*This cost could go up if our groups decides to do something fun on Saturday that will cost money such as Whitewater rafting. But this will be a group decision.

**If a student needs help with money we will make sure to give them a way to receive it

Medical Release

James 1:22 ESV

"But be DOERS of the word, and not hearers only…"

Our approach to ministry is to give students the freedom to experience what we hear from the word of God. We hope to help each person develop an all-encompassing view of what it means to be a follower of Christ. There will be elements of fellowship, worship, prayer, service, study and challenge. We are helping develop DOERS of the WORD!

Doer Groups is on break for the summer. We will resume on September 8th! If you want to see what else is happening in our youth ministry, check it out above.

We meet regularly each Sunday evening in the Gathering Area at ECOB
